The two schools I researched were Worcester Poly and Umass Lowell.
WPI accepts a 4 or 5 on all AP tests. For statistics, a 4 or 5 exempts a student having to take Applied Statistics I. Each class at WPI has an 1/3 unit of credit, so skipping this class would save me $3,288.
Umass Lowell accepts a 3, 4, or 5 on the AP Stats test. These passing grades are equal to 3 credits. The cost of 3 credits at Umass is $1,267.91.
Although a 4 or 5 would save me nearly three times the amount at WPI, the cost of attendance is also nearly three times as great at WPI than Umass Lowell.
The two schools I researched were the University of Vermont and the University of Maine- Orono.
UVM accepts a 4 or 5 on most tests and even a 3 on some. For statistics, a 4 exempts a student from Elements of Statistics and a 5 exempts a student from basic statistical methods. If I got that score I would earn 3.00 college credits. This would save me $5,612.
UMaine- Orono accepts a 3,4,5 on most AP Stats test, the Statistics test included. These scores would earn me 3.00 college credits. If I earned that score, I could save $1,682.
Although these scores at UVM could save me about 5 times as much at UMaine, UVM is about $20,000 more expensive in attendance than UMaine.
Paul Serino (disclaimer, I was confused) College: Ohio State University A score of 3 4 or 5 in AP Statistics earns 5 credits. I have no idea how much money this saves me because they use a different policy for graduation. It is based on a point hour ratio system where the number of total credits is divided by the number cumulative hours.
United States Military Academy West Point will use AP scores to help decide whether or not you will get college credit for classes in certain departments, including mathematics and statistics. However they didn't have any actual rules posted. AP credit would not save any money technically because the entire tuition is paid for. Also, all cadets must complete four full years.
Karl Zeroka At Colorado-Boulder AP Stats test scores of 4 and 5 are accepted for college credit. If you can get a 4 or 5 it earns you 3 credits, or a completion of the Math 2510 course at CU-Boulder. Completing this course prior to entry into CU-Boulder saves you about $757 of the $18,543 total payed for freshman undergrads.
At University of Maryland AP Stats test scores of 4 or 5 earn you college credits. It earns you 3 credits, or the equivalent or completing STAT100. Completing this course prior to entry into at Maryland saves around $1743 of the $37,180 total payed for freshman undergrads.
Georgetown University. A score of a 4 will earn me 3 credits for Statistics with Data Analysis. A score of a 5 will earn my 4 credits for Probability and Statistics. Boston College. A score of a 5 won't earn me any credits, but I will be exempt from a math requirement. However, as a pre-med student, I will need to take two math classes anyway, so it really doesn't help me out.
Kenny Pierce The first college I researched was Sacred Heart University. Sacred Heart accepts AP scores of 4 and 5. These students will receive 6-8 credits for their individual courses. Statistics is worth 4 credits so if I were to skip this class I would be saving $1,1143 on my tuition. The left over 2 credits would just be waisted and not go to other classes.
The second college I reasearched was Saint Anselm College. Saint A's accepts AP scores of 4 and 5 and in some instances they accept a 3 depending on the course. These scores give you as many credits as the class requires. Applied Statistics at Saint A's is 3 credits so I would have received those 3 from my AP test score therefore, exempting me from statistics. This would save me $1,435 on my tuition.
The total tuition cost of both schools is about $32,000. If I were to get AP credit for both schools the cheaper school to go to would be Saint Anselm college depending on scholarships and finnancial aid.
I researched Tufts University since it is the school I am going to. In order to get credit, you need a 4 or 5 on the AP Stats exam. This credit can be counted as Liberal Arts mathematical sciences. Tufts is 56,000 a year, but I have not yet received my newest financial aid package so I do not know how much I would save. Although the exam would exempt me from a basic stats class, it would allow me to take a different class earlier or let me take a graduate level class before I graduate, so it wouldn't really save me any money overall.
The two schools I researched were University of San Diego and Providence College.
University of San Diego accepts an AP score of 3, 4, or 5 on the Stats exam. These scores would give me 3.0 credits and would exempt me from a "lower division elective." This would ultimately save me $2,632.
Providence accepts a 4 or a 5 on the AP Statistics exam. This would fulfill a free elective, but would not give me any credit towards a math course. This would save me $2,676.
It makes sense that both of these schools would save me similar amounts of money because both cost about $40,000 per year for out of state tuition. They are also both private colleges, which tend to be more expensive than state schools.
At University of Massachusetts Amherst AP Stats test scores of 3 or higher earn you 3 college credits. This would be equivalent to me taking the course Stats 240 at the university. Completing this course prior to entry into at Amherst saves around $1,278 of the $25,560 total payed for freshman undergrads.
I am also interested in attending the Syracuse University which accepts an AP Stats test score of 3 or higher for 3 credits. This would also be equivalent to me taking MAT 121 or 221 or STT 101 at Syracuse University. Completing this course and earning credits if I score a 3 or higher on the exam will save me around $1637 of the $18,805 total payed for freshman undergrads.

NYU accepts a 4 or 5 on the AP Stats exam and gives credit for a freshman math class. I would save $5000.
Although I save more at NYU, the tuition is about $2000 more per year than at Babson.
