  2. There is a lot of material to be covered. I think I've had a good background so hopefully this will just bring that knowledge to the next level and learn many new things. I like that it is based on data and not on calculus. It will be a lot of work but I think it will be a fun course!

  3. There's a lot of work, but if I work at it it should be a challenging but fun class!

  4. The curriculum is extensive and much different than the math classes I have taken prior. I think statistics will be a nice change from precalculus, even if it requires a lot of work.

  6. This is going to be my second AP math class, so I'm looking forward to having at least some experience when it comes to AP testing. The class outline looks extensive, but I'm looking forward to learning a completely different form of math.

  7. The curriculum seems difficult, but along the same lines as calc last year. I'm looking forward to learning more math and experiencing a math AP test for the first time.

  8. I'm excited to take this class because I've always had a strong interest in statistics and the extensive curriculum will help me explore this interest on a much deeper level. It will also be refreshing to veer away from calculus a little bit, which I wasn't particularly fond of.

  9. With Stats being my second AP math class I have a greater confidence that I can handle this curriculum than I did last year about Calc. With that being said, the curriculum does look very intense, but I feel that we will all be able to take in what we need to do well throughout the year.

  10. After reading over the extensive curriculum for AP statistics, I have realized that this class is unlike any other math class that I have taken at Beverly High School. I am looking forward to the new challenging material and a great year!

  11. I read the Statistics standards and I think this is where I am suppose to write my comment:) The language that was used in the course standards outline made it difficult to understand what is actually in the course. Although I did recognize some vocab from last year. I'm sure it'll make more sense once we get started.

  12. Paul, this is where you should post your comment to the standards.
High school kids have usually not seen much of the course material in AP Stats before, except a bit in AP Biology and CP Stats.

  13. Based on what I've read from the Statistics Standards I'm looking forward to using math in a different way as well as gaining outside knowledge from the data and experiments we will be using. It seems like this class is more of a hands on type of learning and will be a great opportunity to explore all different types of useful information that we can apply to our everyday lives and not just this class!

  14. Based on the Statistics Standards, statistics seems like an intricate subject, but after taking AP calculus last year and doing very well, I'm ready for the challenge.

  15. After reading the outline and standards, I saw the complexity of Statistics. I believed I understood the subject or at least the main concept but the many categories and subcategories proved me otherwise. I understand now that we truly will be learning so much in this class during this school year. I'm ready to finally get away from the "typical" math classes and to learn something new.

  17. After reading the AP Statistics standards, it gave me the understanding as to how complex this subject truly is. At first, I thought Statistics was only about probability. However, after reading the outline, I realize it encompasses many other concepts and ideas. I look forward to learning this subject and facing its challenges.
